About College

Established in 1957, the Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal was among India's pioneering self-financing engineering colleges. In 2000, it became a constituent institute of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), recognized today as Manipal Academy of Higher Education.

MIT offers bachelor's and master's programs in various engineering disciplines, alongside opportunities for full-time and part-time research. PhD programs, requiring a minimum of three years for full-time and four years for part-time students (with a one-year relaxation for MPhil holders), are also available.

The institute engages in sponsored research programs supported by esteemed funding agencies like DST, CSIR, AICTE, and the Ministry of Environmental Sciences. MIT also collaborates on research initiatives with leading laboratories and institutes both within India and internationally.
