About College
Founded in 1999 as the School of Allied Health Sciences, the Manipal College of Health Professions (MCHP) was India's pioneering institution dedicated exclusively to allied health education.
MCHP aims to cultivate healthcare professionals capable of enhancing individuals' physical and mental well-being. Offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs, the college is affiliated with Kasturba Hospital, renowned as a leading tertiary care facility in southern India.
Recognized for its excellence, MCHP received an 'Excellent' rating from the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) in April 2008. Additionally, the Ministry of Health in the Sultanate of Oman has endorsed the institution for training its nationals through regular and bridge programs. The Government of India's Ministry of Health has also identified MCHP as a model for its proposed National and Regional Institutes of Allied Health Sciences (NIAHS and RIAHS).
