BA (Graphic Design and Digital Media Marketing)

BA in Graphics and Digital Media is a three year undergraduate course that is highly skill-based powered by the Media and Entertainment Skills Council of India. The Council has been promoted by FICCI with the support from National Skill Development Corporation ( NSDC). The Course covers areas ranging from social communication to digital communication and branding. Some of the multi-dimensional aspects of the course covers typography and type design, photography, illustration, graphic interface design, packaging, print design, corporate identity, branding and information and communication systems like signage. Successful candidates of the BA course could look for prospective jobs as Graphic designers, Social Media Executives, Social Media managers and Digital Marketing Managers

BA (Honours) in Media and Communication

The B.A. (Honours) in Media and Communications (BAMC) offered at Manipal Institute of Communication, MAHE, Manipal a four-year graduate degree program. The aim of the program is to offer a universal understanding of Media and Entertainment industry’s activities and equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills required to become an expert media professional ready to take on the challenges of the industry. The first year introduces foundational concepts of media, followed by industry required skill building through a balanced mix of theory and practical classes in the second year thereby finally leading to specialization in key domain areas of media including print media, broadcast media, public relations, advertising, and digital media in the final year.

Masters in Film Art & Film Making

MA in Film Arts (MAFA) program offered at Manipal Institute of Communication, MAHE is a dual-degree master’s program in Film Making. This program is jointly offered by School of Communication, MAHE and EICAR – the International Film and Television School, Paris (EICAR). The course is speared over two years wherein enrolled students will spend the first year at SoC and continue the second year at EICAR. On completion of the program, successful students will be awarded the degree of Master of Arts in Film Art by Manipal Academy of Higher Education and Master of Fine Arts in Filmmaking accredited by the European Accreditation Board of Higher Education Schools (EABHES).

It is aimed at individuals who possess a deep interest in films and are keen on learning the finer nuances of the profession. As a specialized course, this program will train students in the complete film making process including screen writing, cinematography, directing, editing as well as help them develop an understanding of the social, cultural, economic perspectives of the medium.

MA in Media and Communication

The MA in Media and Communications (MAMC) offered at Manipal Institute of Communication, MAHE, Manipal is the institution’s flagship program. The two-year postgraduate degree program exposes students to theoretical, aesthetic, critical and technological processes involved in various stages of media production. This program is an intensive learning path with two goals: one, to prepare students keen on entering the media industry to master the skills to become an expert media professional and communication executive and, two, to aid students keen on research and doctoral studies to strengthen their conceptual underpinnings in media and communication studies research. Thus, by the end of this course students will become competent communication professionals with specialized knowledge in the areas of Print Journalism, TV and Radio production, Corporate Communications Management, Digital News and Entertainment content Production and Media Research.

This program is spread over four semesters or two years with a mandatory industry internship at the end of second semester.

B. Sc in Animation

This course is pointed at beginners, to give a surface-level working knowledge - Learn by DOING. It’s a fusion of less theory and more practice, as they are valuable in improving outcomes. Each week will include an assignment focused on classroom learning. By the time you have completed the course, you will have walked through a structure of modules that will result in the creation of 3D Artwork.

Certificate Course Sports Communication

To provide students an overall overview of the all aspects of interpersonal and corporate communication which students can apply in the field of sports communication.

Career prospects: Media Relation Specialists in sports clubs, Spokespersons for national and international sporting teams, Communication Mangers, Media and PR Managers, Event Coordinators.

Duration : 2 months.

Qualifications : Pass with a Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years) in any discipline from a recognized university, with minimum 50 % aggregate marks or equivalent

PG Diploma in Health Communications
