Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Medical Science, Manipal

Established with a vision to disseminate Ayurvedic knowledge widely, the Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Medical Sciences draws inspiration from Late Dr. U. Krishna Muniyal, a seasoned Ayurvedic practitioner who founded Muniyal Ayurveda in 1940. Dr. U. Krishna was a disciple of Pandith Taranath, a renowned Ayurvedic physician who had treated Mahatma Gandhi multiple times.

Managed by the Dr. U. Krishna Muniyal Memorial Trust (R), the institute is housed in a spacious 50,000 sq.ft. building, which accommodates the Muniyal Ayurveda Hospital & Research Institute, a specialized Ayurvedic hospital.

The institution aims to educate students in Ayurveda using contemporary scientific methods, preparing them to meet future challenges seamlessly upon completion of their studies. It also fosters a culture of Ayurvedic research among its students. Strategically located, the college leverages its surroundings for optimal medical education and paramedical sciences training.
