About College

In the wake of globalization, medical education presents significant opportunities in developing nations, owing to the availability of skilled and dedicated professionals. India, in particular, is harnessing these advantages by becoming a hub for business process outsourcing from developed countries. As educational standards rise across the nation, so does awareness of advanced medical treatments. The convergence of advancements in Information Technology and automated medical equipment underscores the growing demand for qualified medical practitioners. Karnataka, therefore, must prioritize the production of competent doctors to meet both local and global needs.

Amidst this context, there arises a remarkable opportunity to address the healthcare needs of socially and economically disadvantaged communities. A visionary endeavor led by CA A Raghavendra Rao, President of A Shama Rao Foundation, Mangalore, and Vice-President Mr. Srinivas Rao, envisions the establishment of a cutting-edge Super-speciality Hospital alongside a world-class Medical College in Mangalore Taluk of Dakshina Kannada District.

The envisioned Super-speciality Hospital, boasting over 20 departments, coupled with the Medical College, aims to annually mentor 150 MBBS students and nurture a cadre of 20 research scholars. Srinivas Hospital is committed to providing accessible medical services to the community, equipped with the expertise, knowledge, and resources to prevent, diagnose, and treat diseases.

Strategically located on the Udupi Mangalore Highway, the hospital ensures convenient access for residents of Mangalore and neighboring suburban areas, facilitated by public transport connectivity. With state-of-the-art medical technology and facilities, the institution is poised to deliver modern, quality healthcare to the underprivileged. Affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, and approved by the Medical Council of India, New Delhi, this initiative signifies a significant stride towards addressing healthcare disparities and fostering medical excellence.
