SDM P. G. Centre for Management Studies and Research, Mangaluru

The SDM College of Business Management Post Graduate Centre for Management Studies and Research in Mangaluru is the brainchild of Padmavibhushan Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, the Dharmadhikari of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala, a revered religious landmark in South India with a history spanning over 800 years. Dharmasthala is renowned for its harmonious coexistence of various faiths and for upholding the four traditional Danas: Anna Dana (gift of food), Aushada Dana (gift of medicine), Abhaya Dana (freedom from fear/justice), and Vidya Dana (gift of education).

The SDME Society, established with the aim of making education accessible and affordable, oversees 56 educational institutions ranging from primary education to post-graduation, covering fields such as management, dental science, law, medical sciences, naturopathy, Ayurveda, physiotherapy, and engineering. The SDM College of Business Management, with a legacy of over three decades in providing quality management education, initiated its MBA program in 2007, affiliated with Mangalore University and recognized by AICTE. In 2013, it reconstituted itself as a separate entity, boasting a student body of 240 and a staff of 25, and has since achieved numerous milestones through its innovative initiatives and international university collaborations.

Situated in the heart of Mangalore City, our institute prides itself on its state-of-the-art infrastructure and aims to groom globally competent business leaders. Our faculty, with extensive academic and research backgrounds, have nurtured students to excel not only in academics but also in extracurricular pursuits such as research, entrepreneurship, politics, media, and business. The consistent achievement of Mangalore University ranks and gold medals by our students has positioned our institution prominently among others in the coastal city.

We have forged numerous industry-institute partnerships, signed MoUs with external agencies, conducted extension programs for social welfare, and instilled in our students a sense of social responsibility.
