About College

Established in 2007 under the Bhandary Foundation, Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management (SCEM), Mangaluru, stands as an Autonomous Institute affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. Committed to fostering quality and value-based education, SCEM employs an innovative teaching-learning approach to ensure the holistic development of its graduates.

The institute boasts permanent affiliations for most programs, approved by both the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Government of Karnataka. Accredited with an 'A' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), and recognized by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for Five Engineering Programs, as well as the Institution of Engineers (India) (IE(I)), SCEM upholds rigorous academic standards.

Recognized under Section 2(f) and 12b of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, and designated as an Innovation Cell by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), India, SCEM continuously strives for excellence. It holds the esteemed recognition of Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.

Moreover, SCEM houses the New Age Incubation Network (NAIN)/k-Tech since 2017, promoting Product Development and Incubation, duly recognized by MSME as Host Institute (HI) to establish a technical Business Incubator (BI) in 2020. The institute's accolades include being listed among the top 25 most innovative self-financed private institutions in India by ATAL Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievement (ARIIA) 2020 and rated "excellent" in Private Engineering Colleges 2021.
