About College

Established in 1981, the Regional Cancer Centre (RCC) in Thiruvananthapuram is a globally recognized institution offering advanced facilities for cancer diagnosis, treatment, palliative care, and rehabilitation. It also engages in extensive cancer research. As a premier state-owned cancer care hospital and research center, RCC is one of six centers established in India under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare's 'National Cancer Control Programme.' The center includes a second campus in Pulayanarkotta, Thiruvananthapuram, and operates outreach centers in Palakkad, Ernakulam, and Kollam districts. RCC maintains both a Hospital-Based Cancer Registry and the Population-Based Cancer Registry (South Kerala), which covers the districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, and Kottayam. Recognized as a 'State Cancer Institute' by the Government of India, RCC also holds the prestigious NABH accreditation.
