Nirmalagiri College Kuthuparamba, Kannur

Nirmalagiri College, established on 13th May 1964, is a minority institution under the Archdiocese of Thalassery. It was founded by H.E. Mar Sebastian Valloppilly, the first Bishop of Thalassery Diocese. The college is located in Nirmalagiri near Kuthuparamba, positioned 20 km northeast of Thalassery, adjacent to the Thalassery-Mysore inter-state highway, and approximately 15 km from Kannur International Airport.

The establishment of Nirmalagiri College aligns with the vision and objectives outlined in the Memorandum of Association of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tellicherry, registered under the Societies Registration Act (Act XXI of 1860). The Archdiocese of Thalassery has been instrumental in establishing numerous educational and charitable institutions across Malabar, contributing significantly to the societal welfare. These include 23 L.P. schools, 30 U.P. schools, 24 High Schools, 14 Higher Secondary Schools, and an Engineering College under its auspices.
