National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kannur

Kannur, also known as Cannanore, is renowned for its textile heritage and cultural richness in Kerala, often referred to as God’s own country. This makes it an ideal location for a Fashion institute. NIFT Kannur commenced operations in 2008 from a temporary campus before moving to its permanent campus in 2012. 

Situated amidst tranquility away from bustling towns, the sprawling 10-acre campus features an architectural marvel in the form of the academic block, rising gracefully from 2 floors to 8 floors in a spiral design. The state-of-the-art infrastructure was generously provided by the State Government of Kerala, facilitating a reservation of 20% supernumerary seats for students domiciled within the state. 

NIFT Kannur stands as a vibrant hub within Kerala's educational landscape, blending academic excellence with the cultural essence of the region.
