Milagres College, Mangaluru

Established in 1848 by Bishop Rt Rev. Bernardin, Milagres Educational Institution commenced as an English Primary School catering to classes I to V, gradually expanding to include higher classes. On July 23, 1929, the institution inaugurated its Higher Secondary school, later upgraded to a Pre-University College by the Government of Karnataka on July 5, 1982.

In its commitment to advanced education, the Management inaugurated Milagres College in 2010, overseen by the Catholic Board of Education of the Diocese of Mangaluru and locally managed by Milagres Church. Affiliated with Mangalore University and recognized by UGC MHRD, Govt of India under Section 2(f) of UGC Act, 1956, the college, a Christian minority institution, offers programs in Commerce (B.Com), Hospitality Science (B.Sc.), Food, Nutrition and Dietetics (B.Sc.), and Computer Science, Mathematics, and Statistics (B.Sc.). While Bachelor of Business Management (BBM/BBA) started in 2010, it was discontinued from 2019-20 onwards.

Recognizing the pivotal role of conducive environments in fostering academic excellence and holistic development, Milagres College unveiled its newly constructed Degree College building in the academic year 2016-17. This architecturally designed structure boasts state-of-the-art amenities, aiming to provide a nurturing and stimulating atmosphere for learning. Today, Milagres Educational Institutions cater to students from Kindergarten (KG) to Under Graduation (UG), with an impressive student body exceeding 2,500 and a faculty of 130 dedicated educators.
