About College

MALIK DEENAR COLLEGE OF PHARMACY, established by the Kasaragod Muslim Welfare Association (KMWA), operates under the Societies Registration Act of 1886 (S.No.42 of 1972). The institution was founded by Janab K.S. Abdullah (1933-2007) with a vision to provide society with quality education. Situated in the picturesque location of Seethangoli, Kasaragod, MALIK DEENAR COLLEGE OF PHARMACY (MDCP) is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).

MDCP offers a four-year B.Pharm program and a two-year M.Pharm program specializing in Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry. The college is affiliated with the Kerala University of Health and Allied Sciences (KUHS). Additionally, MDCP conducts a two-year Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) program, affiliated with the Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Kerala.

Course Details

D.Pharm

D-Pharm, Diploma in Pharmacy is a two year course. Pharmacy is a Paramedical field involved in the preparation, dispensing and appropriate use of medication meant for therapeutic purposes. The course provides the minimum qualification to become a Registered Pharmacist in India and practice the profession of Pharmacy. After completion of D.Pharm, one should complete the respective pharmacy council registration to become a registered pharmacist

B.Pharm

B-Pharm, Bachelor of Pharmacy is a four-year program with eight semester. Pharmacy is an art and science of preparing drugs and medicines. Bachelor of Pharmacy is one of the popular job oriented course among the science students after class 12th/PUC. The main course is all about the preparation, analysis and dispensing of various medicines for treating diseases. The course provides a wide spectrum of job opportunities in both the public and private sector, the candidates are also entitled to venture in to their own Pharma business Pharmacy graduate has an opportunity to work in a range of industries related to the production, manufacture, quality control & research/ formulation of medicines

M.Pharm

Master Of Pharmacy in Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry

Master of Pharmacy in Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry is a postgraduate Pharmacy course. The course covers all the aspects of the two fields pharmacognosy and phytochemistry. Pharmacognosy plays a major role in the herbal drug industry. Pharmacognosy deals with phytochemical tests and the manufacturing and analysis of herbal drugs, which have a wider scope in the R&D department of the pharma industry. Phytochemistry is the study of phytochemicals which are chemicals derived from plants.
