Established in 1963 by the visionary Jesuit Father Joseph Edamaram, Loyola College is one of the oldest social science institutions in India, created to drive social change in Kerala and beyond. Loyola College offers graduate programs in MA (Sociology), MSW (Masters in Social Work), MAHRM (Masters in Human Resource Management), and MSc in Counselling Psychology. Affiliated with the University of Kerala, it also serves as a recognized Research Centre for Ph.D. programs in Sociology, Social Work, and Management Studies. The faculty engage in various research projects, and the Loyola Extension Services (LES) functions as the college's social lab, offering extensive community outreach.
