Lourdes Matha College of Science & Technology, Thiruvananthapuram

"Lourdes Matha Catholic Educational Society, renowned for its commitment to excellence in professional education in South Kerala, was founded through the efforts of Rev. Fr. Joseph Kurinjiparampil. His initiative, supported by a group of Syrian Catholic parishioners in Thiruvananthapuram and blessed by His Grace Mar Joseph Powathil, then Archbishop of Changanacherry, marked the beginning of a significant educational endeavor.

The Society established Lourdes Matha College of Science and Technology, which has received approval from the Government of Kerala and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) under order No: 06/06/KER/ENGG 2002-03 dated 27-05-2002. The college is affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.

Situated on a 25-acre campus in Kuttichal, a serene village just 24 km from Thiruvananthapuram, the college offers a picturesque setting surrounded by lush green rubber plantations and the misty Western Ghats. This tranquil environment provides an ideal backdrop for focused and harmonious study. The vision of the Lourdes Matha Educational Society is to create a “Centre of Excellence” in Engineering and Technology, shaping world-class professionals.

His Grace Mar Joseph Perumthottam, Archbishop of Changanassery, serves as the Patron and Spiritual Guide, while His Excellency Mar Thomas Tharayil holds the position of President."
