Established in 2001 as a visionary endeavor by the Canara High School Association, Canara Engineering College (CEC) stands tall on a sprawling 26-acre campus nestled in the serene beauty of Benjanapadavu, Mangalore. Evolving into a beacon of engineering excellence in Karnataka's coastal region, CEC seamlessly blends values with cutting-edge technology.

Fulfilling the late Sri Ammembal Subba Rao Pai's noble vision of accessible quality education, CEC thrives today with a dedicated faculty, advanced infrastructure, and enriching learning environments. From humble beginnings with 180 students across three branches, CEC now boasts a total intake of 630 students across seven branches, including pioneering interdisciplinary programs like Computer Science & Design, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning.

Endorsed by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated with Visveswaraya Technological University (VTU), CEC ensures students are adept in both established engineering practices and emerging industrial trends. Accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), and on track for National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation, CEC maintains high academic standards.

With a vibrant campus community of around 1500 students, facilitated by ergonomically designed hostels, and a faculty of over 100, including many doctorates, CEC maintains a conducive faculty-student ratio of 1:15. Our students consistently excel in VTU examinations, securing top ranks, gold medals, and 100% pass rates in leading branches.

CEC's library houses a wealth of resources, complemented by modern laboratories and workshops equipped with state-of-the-art tools, fostering hands-on learning experiences. The Training and Placement department, alongside the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, prepares students for success in campus recruitments and entrepreneurial ventures through soft skill development programs and entrepreneurship camps.

Our impressive campus placement record sees nearly 90% of eligible students placed in Computer Science & allied branches, with competitive median salaries and lucrative CTCs.
