Baldwin Women’s Methodist College, Bangalore: A Legacy of Empowering Women Through Education Since 1903

Inspired by the dedication of Mr. John Baldwin, a lifelong advocate for accessible education who founded the Baldwin Institute in New York (1845) and Baldwin High School (1882), Baldwin Women’s Methodist College carries a rich heritage of providing quality education to women in Bangalore since its establishment in 1903. Initially founded as the Baldwin School for Girls, the institution expanded to meet the growing need for higher education for women, introducing the Pre-University Course (PUC) section in 1990 and the Degree section in 1995.
