Alva’s Education Foundation® (AEF) emerged from the visionary efforts of Dr. M Mohan Alva, a multifaceted figure in Moodubidri, South India, known for his expertise in Ayurveda, his dedication to education, and his commitment to social reform. Established in 2008, Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology (AIET), located in Mijar, stands as a beacon of quality professional education accessible to the youth of an economically challenged area.

Since its inception, AIET has pioneered transformative initiatives within Indian higher education. Through innovative curricula, a focus on academic rigor, the delivery of holistic education, and the adoption of global best practices, the institute, supported by a dynamic faculty, has set new standards. Affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, and recognized by the AICTE and the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India, AIET has achieved notable milestones, including NBA accreditation for its Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Science departments.

Dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and service, AIET offers undergraduate programs in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, IT Enabled Services Engineering, and Civil Engineering, alongside a postgraduate degree in Business Administration.

Admission to the B.Tech program at Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology requires a minimum of 45% marks in Physics and Chemistry in class 12 (40% for SC/ST candidates), with selection based on the KCET written test. For the MBA program, candidates must hold a graduate degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST), with selection based on performance in the KMAT/GMAT/CAT exam.

AIET actively supports minority community students (Muslims, Jains, Christians, Parsis, and Zoroastrians) through Merit cum Means Scholarships and OBC students pursuing engineering and management studies through the Karnataka E Pass scholarship. Additionally, the Alva’s Education Foundation recognizes and rewards meritorious and deserving students with scholarships.
