Government Arts & Science College Kondotty, Malappuram

Government Arts and Science College Kondotty (GASCK), established in 2013 under GO (M.S) No. 565/13/H.E.D, is located in the picturesque village of Vilayil-Parappur, about 12 km from Kondotty town and 15 km from Calicut International Airport. Affiliated with the University of Calicut, GASCK offers five undergraduate and two postgraduate programs, including job-oriented courses like BTHM and Functional English.

The college quickly distinguished itself in academics, culture, and athletics thanks to the dedicated efforts of its faculty, students, administrative staff, and the local community. Its AISHE code is C-48450.

Situated in a green, village setting, the college primarily serves underprivileged students, including many from minority and marginalized communities, such as OBCs, SCs, and STs. Established as part of the Kerala government's initiative to set up colleges in underserved constituencies, the college was supported by local leaders and the Vidya Poshani Educational Trust, which donated land for its establishment.

Initially operating in the Madharul-Uloom Higher Secondary Madrasa building, the college moved to its own campus in September 2016. Dr. K Abdul Hameed was the first Special Officer, followed by Dr. AK Abdul Gafoor as additional charge until Prof. K Jayakumar became the first Principal in 2013. The college has been guided by several notable principals, including Dr. Kunheenkutty, Dr. Vasudevan Nair, Dr. Abdul Latheef (in charge), Dr. Laila, Dr. Elizabeth, Dr. Muhammed Rafeeque, Dr. Haridasan, and Dr. Krishnankutty. Under the dynamic leadership of Dr. AK Abdul Gafoor, the college is poised to reach new milestones.
