A.K.G Memorial Co-operative College of Nursing, Kannur

A.K.G. Memorial Co-operative College of Nursing (AKGMCCON), established in August 2008 by the Kannur Co-operative Hospital Society Ltd. No. C-834, honors Sri A.K. Gopalan (AKG). A prominent Indian politician, orator, and Parliamentarian, AKG dedicated his life to uplifting the poor and downtrodden. AKGMCCON is now one of India's leading nursing colleges.

Since December 2010, the College has operated from a new building in Mavilayi, Sri AKG's hometown, located 10 km west of Kannur town in a serene, pollution-free hilly area.
